For Patrick M. Murphy the creation of 3 Click Solutions is a culmination of 25 years of experience helping corporate and public sector clients raise their profile and focus legislative attention on their business needs. Mr. Murphy, a former western state legislator and Presidential appointee, maintains an active role in the actions of the US Congress and the Obama Administration. His ever-expanding base of contacts with established and emerging political leaders reinforces his ability to develop successful policy initiatives and execute winning strategies.
Mr. Murphy began his Washington career as an appointee at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and moved on to direct State Government Relations at the U.S. Synthetic Fuels Corporation and at the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation. He was named President of the Government Relations Group of the national public finance law firm, Kutak Rock, in 1990.
In addition to his government relations work, he served on the Clinton Presidential Transition as a team leader within the U.S. Treasury Department and was senior staff for the Clinton Economic Summit. He was appointed by President Clinton as a Member-at-Large of the Democratic National Committee and served as DNC Vice Chair for the statewide officers, which included attorney generals, lieutenant governors, state treasurers and secretaries of state.
Since establishing his lobbying practice in 1993, he has represented numerous corporations, investment banks, county and tribal governments, labor unions, health-care, technology and energy firms for the past 17 years.
Mr. Murphy remains a central figure in candidate recruitment and mentoring of rising political leaders at the state and federal levels. His Capitol Hill townhouse is a favored location for state party, gubernatorial, House and Senate member gatherings of Democratic insiders.
Prior to moving to Washington, DC, Mr. Murphy had an accomplished public service career winning two terms in the Nevada State Legislature and having served on the Nevada Board of Education and the Nevada State Crime Commission.
Mr. Murphy is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences and conducts seminars on corporate strategic planning. He is a frequent guest on national television providing political commentary on MSNBC Television and Fox Radio. Mr. Murphy has served as a trustee of the Women’s Campaign Forum, the American Council of Young Political Leaders and the Congressional Awards Foundation.
